How does it work?

  • In this program, you're going to start by implementing the movements that you learned in The First 5. If you haven't already worked through Step 1 and 2 of the Fit14 Program, we recommend that you complete them both before starting this final phase. They will prepare your body for Strength 101 by helping you loosen up, move differently and understand your body better. The first workouts in Strength 101 start at as little as 20 minutes, which may not seem like a lot, but be patient (because you will be sore). You'll quickly be worked up to 75 minute workouts as the program progresses!

Why?

  • It's important to have a strong foundation. When I work with clients for the first time, 99% of them benefit from re-learing how to perform exercises. This is because so much gets missed without proper foundations and why it's important to follow the coaching cues, stick to the sets, reps and even the tempo. The tempo may be the most important piece! When you learn a new language, it takes time to learn how to pronounce certain words. The same applies to working out. You're going to learn how to move differently, so move with us until it really clicks!

How much exercise is too much exercise?

  • When we exercise too much, it's called "over training." This just means that you're working too much or too hard and your body can't keep up! This is why we recommend 3 days a week with this program and 1-3 additional days where you get to be active on your own. Maybe you like to walk, bike, run or swim. We all have our own hobbies and I want you to find something active that you like to do on the days you're not doing Strength 101.
